Firstly, I had many questions: is sous vide cooking in plastic safe? Whan can be cooked besides steakes? After studying this question and after reading dozens of sous vide books I changed my mind and do not hesitate anymore. I liked the variety of healthy recipes in this book, well written and with colored pictures. In a word, I liked it.

I really like this collection of sous vide information, explanations as well as recipes. It is nice having all of this in one place as it gives me a lot of meal planning ideas as I flip through this.

I don’t really like to collect the ebooks with the recipes, but this one contains the easy to cook and with easy to find ingredients recipes. This is the second book of this author I have and I like her manner of laying out the information. Nothing is in excess. Recommend!

The directions are easy to follow, perfect guide for new users of sous vide machine. Paperback has full colored pictures of the recipes and all useful sous vide tips. The recipes, especially seafood section attracted me too much. Maybe because I’m following Mediterranean diet and I like to eat fish very much. Tried to cook the recipe of sous vide cod (from the Bonus). It was fantastic, tasted amazing! Want to cook more. Thank you

As for the beef – cook it the longer you can and your meat will be the best you ever tried. I like to make experiments with the food and use different cooking devices. What seems like a normal power cut turns quickly in a terrifying nightmare. Their whole world spirals out of control and everybody have to count on one another. Danger lurks on every corner and the only option is to bunker down in the farmhouse but the road is long and rocky. I loved the way the characters were brought together, how they live and love under the worst circumstances. This story was utterly intriguing and the lovestories were very passionate. All the elements that make a story outstanding, were present. I'm glad I didn't miss this one and I hope that there will be a sequel very soon.

I really enjoyed the story. There was quite a bit of romance interwoven within the OMG the world is ending scenario. I appreciate that there wasn't a lot of women being victims or violence. Kudos for a well thought​ out fun story with a bit of edge of your seat anxiety.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story from start to finish, including the pacing and nothing lagging in it. A great doomsday sci-fi that included F/F relationships. The four main characters each had distinct personalities and voices throughout the story. And the story totally has all the stereotype lesbian romances covered. lol. One pair are the u-haul lesbians, another pair the slow burn lesbians, and even another that has the "love of my life" is gone romance.I did find trouble with the paragraphs' & sentences' structure. Often times I had to slow down and analyze who was actually speaking, moving around, etc. Sometimes a character's narration overlapped with another character's and it was hard to decipher it. Only tiny letdown (for me) was that by the end of the book, I still had no clue what Lexi, Anna, Jackie, and Taylor looked like. I'm not left with any mental picture of their appearances, except Taylor had muscles and Anna & Lexi had long hair. Even small hints like "Jackie combed her fingers through Taylor's blond hair" would have helped me.Totally recommend this book to anybody. It was a badass story and loved the strong women. I'm definitely stoked for the second book! Hopefully there'll be more in this series as time goes on. Thank you for all the hard work, KC!

It's not so much a doomsday novel as it is a romance. The end of the world scenario provides the backdrop for the story and at least one more follow-on novel. I liked all of the characters of the book and the chemistry was easy to recognize. For a book with four major characters and two relationships, I thought that the author did a great job balancing it all. While I understand there is an additional book to follow - this one ends without a cliff-hanger.

Really liked the primary characters and story. The description of the deterioration of society after the EMP seems to be very realistic for the big cities and cross country travel. However, even with the problems with several characters in Astoria, I find it hard to believe that most people there are coping as well as portrayed. Still the tension and fear experienced by the heroines is all too real

And it is that... One of the best books I've read in a long time. KC suggested this as a starter for me since I hadn't read any of her books before, and I'm so lucky that she did. The beginning I got to learn about each and every characters. The last third I spent in tears. A story I won't be forgetting any time soon.

I'll admit that action/romance is new to me. I have read several lesbian romance novels before but simple romance novels are not my cup of tea. The world ending and then people finding love was a great balance. Action and romance was a great balance. I can't wait for the next installment.

Loved this book and can't wait for the sequel! Loved all the MCs and looking forward to seeing what comes next for them.

These range from logging programs such as MacLogger DX by DogPark Software and RumlogNG by DL2RUM, which would both give any of the PC logging programs a run for their money, to MacDoppler for Satellite work and dogparkSDR for control of Flex Radios, and DX Toolbox by Black Hat systems for propagation forecasting .In addition there are many programs such as FLDigi, WSPR, and WSJT-X which have Macintosh versions available.These are just some of the programs that I am familiar with, there are many, many others available that I have heard of, but not used.About the only area that I have found lacking is native support for RemoteHams, but even here, the software is easily used with either CrossOver or programs such as Parallels.

I read all of the books he has written, sometimes agreed with his ideas sometimes not – but always found them useful to have a broader vision about Financial Services. In my opinion, Brett reached the highest level at Bank 4.0, that reflects his increased experience that accumulated through the years passed by in the financial/banking world in different hats and different landscapes.As a time-limited professional, I had a great pleasure with reading this book by knowing that it has a tremendous amount of research and hard work behind. I thought to myself If I try to do this research on my own, accessing such amount valuable insight on financial services domain could take ages. However, Brett has done the heavy lifting for everyone and put such a valuable information in a nutshell as a book. This is an effort that should be appreciated and respected. The book is full of interesting facts and examples, that are used in the right context and right way.In the book, “First Principles Design Thinking and its application to Banking” is one of the major topics explained so well, it put so many “WHYs” and “HOWs” in the Financial world into a reasonable context. In very brief terms, Brett suggested starting from zero instead of keeping improving the existing latency structures in the bank. Of course, there are many more key topics detailed like Experience Design, Data Science and Digital CEO etc. It is quite likely that readers would like Digitalization Scorecard that was presented in the conclusion part. But there is no guarantee that most traditional bankers would be happy with everything written in Bank 4.0 😊As a strong believer of Open Banking Ecosystem, I got so much leads to investigate further how to make the best use of available Fintechs, APIs and other technologies. Embedded Banking practices shared is very good and importance of providing “Real Time” banking services boldly underlined. You might be surprised to learn that “voice” would be such a critical factor in the future of banking and conclude that Cloud-Based solutions could be much more useful than you initially thought. The book also confirms the power shift from West to East, when the “banking” is considered as a service – the real-life examples from China is mind-blowing!Brett has also defined some future jobs for Banking, that could be useful for some Lifelong Learner readers, who would like to be at the top of the change and make the best of it. Oh, also there is a good share of insight for the vendors/fintechs that would like to position themselves in the advantaged position against competition. He talked about not only WHAT TO DO but also HOW TO DO – many useful roadmaps are included in Bank 4.0.There was a space created for some other bright minds of Fintech area at the end of chapters, who contributed to the success of the book with their great insights. This is a great opportunity to become familiar with some fintech stars like Chris, Spiros, Jim, Duena and David – whose contribution is very valuable and it is a good starting point for the readers to expand their vision on Fintech world.Reading Bank 4.0 is a great favor that you can do for yourself – Highly Recommended!

Bank 4.0 is continuous iterative of Bank 3.0; in this book, as the author mention before, it’s higher than bank 3.0 and showed gaps between current states (of bank) and bank 3.0. Bank 4.0 is different to Bank 3.0 and it focus on happening in real-world. When the first wave of Fintech and innovation will change behavior after all; it’s very interested in.Omni-channel, QR-Code, KYC and/or Big-data in Bank 3.0 is the foundation to continual of next waves that are applied AI, Block-chain and payment systems (includes AML). Through the book, I many lession learned, especially chosen the “where” to start the battel against giants (Alibaba vs ebay); the ways Uber change behavior with driverless automobile; and/or Wepay can do with leverage of technology.Only a disappointed, content is talked a lot of Alibaba/Ant Finance and Jack Ma; they are real but I am expected bank 4.0 bring me to wonder land such as doreamon comics. I see many things in comics and it’s become true.Thanks author spent a lot of time to write, publish and sharing valuable contents.

Having read all of Brett’s book this one is the best as it has been written at a inflection point where the move to digital is now complete . Brett’s combination of facts with case studies and how “redesign by first principles “ is key to a banks success is essential reading to all bankers, Fintech and Bigtech . Analysts are better of listening to Brett’s ideas as the future valuation of banks and tech companies will be very different compared to the story thus far .
